Vice Chancellor's Message

It is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you for the National Conference on Recent Trends in Biosciences. The field of Biosciences has made tremendous progress in recent years, and this conference provides an excellent platform for researchers, academicians, and professionals to exchange ideas, discuss the latest trends, and explore new avenues for research and development.

I believe that this conference will be an ideal forum for experts to showcase their research findings, and for young researchers to learn from the best in the field. The keynote speeches, panel discussions, and paper presentations will provide a unique opportunity for all participants to gain insights into the latest trends and developments in Biosciences.

The 21st century is considered an era of biotechnology and applied biosciences. In recent years, amazing achievements have been made in the field of science, in general, and life sciences. The effect of these developments on improving the quality of life is apparent. It is a multidisciplinary subject employing different sciences related to life to help improve the quality of life and environment. So far, this demand has often outstripped the ability of research laboratories to cope. These trends signal the beginning of an exciting era for bioscience research. Such changes require a continual broadening of our outlook and expertise. By doing this our work will remain an objective and reliable component of the modern era of research.

As the world faces new challenges in the form of emerging diseases and environmental issues, it is imperative that we come together and collaborate to find innovative solutions. I am confident that this conference will facilitate such collaborations and help to create a community of like-minded individuals who are committed to advancing the field of Biosciences.

I wish you all a productive and successful conference.

Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher (SAARC-Gold Medalist)
Vice Chancellor, University of Swat

Director's  Message

Realizing the vast importance of the field of microbiology, the University of Swat established the Department of Microbiology in 2011, later upgraded to the Centre for Biotechnology and Microbiology (CB&M). Due to the immense importance of forensic sciences, the Department of Forensic Sciences at the University of Swat was established in 2014 under the umbrella of CB&M to facilitate the teaching of the basic ideas and concepts of forensic sciences to upcoming forensic scientists and students or persons already associated with the legal field. It is the first department for the subject of forensics in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the first in the country to offer a BS in Forensic Science, the first batch of which has graduated in 2021.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all of you to the National Conference on Recent Trends in Biosciences. As the Director of this esteemed institution, it is my honor to be a part of this gathering of brilliant minds who are at the forefront of the latest developments in the field of Biosciences.

This conference provides a platform for researchers, academicians, and professionals to come together and share their knowledge, ideas, and experiences related to the recent trends in Biosciences.
